Mechanical Systems Engineer
HUST is currently seeking one dedicated student to take on the Mechanical Systems role for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2027. As a Mechanical Systems Engineer at HUST, you will design and refine smaller but essential components such as hinges, locks, and linkages. Your work will ensure mechanical reliability, functionality, and ease of use throughout the vehicle.

Work on the car’s smaller mechanical systems, for example, hinges and locks
Contribute to the roadworthiness of the solar car
Collaborate with the mechanical and Electrical team to find and test solutions for smaller problems

We’re looking for someone who:
Has a strong interest in structural design and manufacturing
Isn’t afraid of setbacks and challenges
Has basic CAD skills
Is passionate about sustainability, technology, and innovation
Has some experience with mechanical systems or materials (preferred but not mandatory)
