Structural Design Engineer
HUST is currently seeking one dedicated student to take on the Monocoque and Rear Frame role for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge 2027. As a Structural Design Engineer at HUST, you will focus on the monocoque and rear frame — two of the most crucial parts of the car’s chassis. You will ensure structural integrity, safety, and efficiency through advanced design, modeling, and testing.

Take ownership of the design and development of the monocoque and rear frame
Contribute to the structural integrity and safety of the vehicle
Collaborate with the mechanical team to turn design concepts into reality
Engage with our industry partners to refine and validate design solutions
Apply simulation techniques to evaluate mechanical performance
As part of this role, you will:
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a strong interest in structural design and manufacturing
Isn’t afraid of setbacks and challenges
Has basic CAD skills and a willingness to learn simulation tools
Is passionate about sustainability, technology, and innovation
Has some experience with mechanical systems or materials (preferred but not mandatory)
Skills in Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation and ANSYS (preferred but not mandatory)
